We are here to answer your questions about ACT products.

How durable and long-lasting are ACT products?

According to our own data, the wiping effect remains the same even after 500 uses and washings. As a result, the Multi-Purpose Cloth and most other products come with a two-year performance guarantee.

Is there anything I should be careful about?

Do not use on rough surfaces or in combination with chemicals.

How do I wash my cloth/mop if it gets dirty?

Please wash by hand or in a washing machine with laundry detergent after each use, and dry in the sun. When wet, it removes dirt and germs. Leaving it wet can cause mold, so please wash it after each use. If you use a washing machine, please put it in a laundry net as lint may adhere to it when washing with other clothes. You can use liquid detergent for laundry. However, please use detergent that does not contain fabric softener or bleach. Fabric softener and bleach damage the fibers, so the quality may be impaired. We also recommend using laundry soap when washing by hand. If the dirt is severe, hand washing with solid soap is the best way to remove the dirt. However, there is a possibility that solid soap residue may remain on the very fine fibers, so if you wash with solid soap, please rinse thoroughly. Also, if dirt has become entangled in the ultra-fine fibers and is difficult to remove, dissolve detergent in hot water (boiling water will damage the fibers, so boiling water and then let it cool slightly. Water up to about 90 degrees is fine) and soak the item in the water. The dirt that has become entangled in the fibers will float up. If the cloth is very dirty, try this several times, and if the dirt no longer floats up, then it's fine. Soaking the cloth periodically is likely to extend the life of the item.

Can I wash it in the washing machine with other laundry?

Please do not wash together with other washing machines as lint and dirt from other washing machines may get on the cloth. (Please put one of them in a laundry net.)

I washed some cloths and other laundry in the washing machine without putting them in a laundry net. Is this ok?

Once or twice is no problem.

When I use a cloth to wipe off oil stains around the kitchen, the stickiness doesn't come off even after washing...

In that case, dissolve laundry detergent in hot water instead of using neutral kitchen detergent, and wash and rinse with hot water.

When I washed it in the washing machine, I accidentally put in fabric softener. Is this OK?

Once or twice is no problem.

Why can't I use fabric softener or bleach?

Fabric softeners will make the threads extremely soft and will lose their ability to remove dirt. Do not use bleach as it will destroy the structure of the threads.

Can I wash it with soap?

From an environmental perspective, it is okay to wash it, but if you wash it with cold water, the solids will not dissolve and will remain in the fibers, so in that case, rinse it well with lukewarm water.

Is it okay to wipe my car with the cloth? (Will it scratch the car?)

Wiping with a cloth will not scratch the car. However, since it absorbs oil well, the wax will come off after washing it several times, so please wax it regularly. Before washing the car, rinse off dust with water once. Fill a bucket with water and wipe off dirt with a cloth.

Are there any items that should not be wiped with the cloth?

Please wipe pianos, Buddhist altars, lacquerware, etc. dry (just enough to remove dust). If you use it while it is damp, the lacquer or gold leaf may come off. (We cannot compensate for damage caused by this.)

If I wipe my wooden floor with a cloth or mop, won't the wax come off?

Wax that you apply regularly yourself can be easily removed with a regular rag, so it is necessary to wax regularly. If you wipe the floor with an ACT product, the wax will also come off. However, if the flooring is coated from the beginning, the wax will not come off, so you can use it with confidence.

Can I wipe leather products?

Wipe dry with a cloth.

Can I wipe windows with a multi-purpose cloth?

If you wipe windows with a multi-purpose cloth, water marks and fuzz will remain. We recommend using a special window cloth.

Can I use the cloth instead of a sponge for washing dishes?

For heavy oil stains, rinse the dishes with hot water and then wipe them off with a damp cloth. If you are wiping a lot of dishes, we recommend using it as a dishcloth rather than a sponge, as a lot of dirt will stick to the cloth.

I wiped the oil stains with a cloth but they didn't come off.

Burned-on dirt around the range and grease stains that have been left for a long time are hard to clean, so they will not come off immediately. If you wipe it a little at a time every day, the dirt will gradually come off.
